pro aqua is pleased to present an impressive success story in the British prison system in close collaboration with our British strategic partner Greenteck Global (GTG). The SurfaceCleaner-100 (SC-100), developed by pro aqua in cooperation with GTG, is successfully used in various British prisons of the HM Prison Service (HMPS) to provide a cost-efficient, safe, and environmentally friendly solution for surface cleaning. The first implementation in the prisons has demonstrated the immense potential of the SC-100 as an innovative cleaning alternative to the conventional use of highly concentrated chemicals.

The partnership between GTG and pro aqua

GreenTeck Global (GTG), our British partner, specializes in the development of environmentally friendly cleaning and disinfection solutions. Together, we have developed the SurfaceCleaner SC-100, which uses a specially electrochemically activated water (called SC water) to clean surfaces while eliminating the use of toxic chemicals. This innovative solution is particularly suitable for demanding environments such as prisons, where high hygiene standards and the safety of inmates and staff are top priorities.

Highly successful implementation

The SurfaceCleaner SC-100 has delivered outstanding results in several institutions of the HM Prison Service (HMPS). In facilities such as HMP Wormwood Scrubs, HMP Bristol, and HMP Norwich, the SC-100 was used during a 6-month test period to clean surfaces like tables, door handles, and walls. The technology eliminated 99.99% of bacteria and pathogens, confirming the SC-100’s superior cleaning performance compared to conventional methods.

A key advantage of the SC-100 technology is its exceptional cost efficiency. Operating the SC-100 costs only 2 pence per liter, representing a significant saving compared to the high expenses associated with chemical cleaning agents. At HMP Wormwood Scrubs, over 40% of the annual cleaning budget has already been saved, highlighting the long-term economic viability of the technology. The elimination of chemical cleaning agents and the avoidance of single-use packaging have reduced logistical and storage complexity, significantly lowering waste and the ecological footprint.

Main advantages: Cost, safety, and environmental protection

Its environmentally friendly operation and chemical safety are key advantages of the SurfaceCleaner SC-100. Without the use of toxic chemicals, the SC-100 not only contributes to environmental protection but also ensures the safety of inmates and prison staff. By avoiding chemical cleaning agents, the risk of misuse and toxic exposures—common issues with traditional cleaning methods—is significantly reduced. The SC-100 operates with activated water that is biodegradable and leaves no harmful residues.

Future outlook: Further implementations planned

The successful implementation of the SurfaceCleaner SC-100 in HMPS clearly demonstrates the potential of the technology. Studies and tests from the prisons prove the long-term benefits of the technology, both economically and environmentally. Detailed documents are available upon request and can help other institutions recognize the advantages of the SC-100 technology.

Testimonial

"The AquaTeck SC100 has demonstrated remarkable capabilities in maintaining hygiene standards across our facility. Its ability to eliminate 99.99% of bacteria, viruses, spores, and pathogens without the use of harmful chemicals represents a significant advancement. This aligns perfectly with our commitment to sustainability and reducing our environmental impact, which is a core focus of the Ministry of Justice's sustainability initiatives. (…) From a cost perspective, the SC100 has proven to be exceptionally efficient. With an operating cost of just 2p per litre, it offers substantial savings compared to traditional cleaning chemicals. This cost reduction, combined with its simplicity of use, has streamlined our cleaning processes and reduced the need for multiple products—an especially important benefit in a prison setting where budget efficiency is crucial."
