The next step for reliable process water quality in HCUs
Over the past years, the WCD2-c has been successfully introduced across the DACH region. During this time, a strong network of experienced distribution and service partners has been established - and today, the WCD2-c is used in cardiac centers from Berlin to Zurich.
This is a strong foundation. And now the next major step begins.
With the relaunch of wcd2.at, we are opening a new chapter for communication, market development, and the international partner structure around the entire WCD2 product line. The new website is the central platform for everyone who wants to understand how WCD2 supports reliable process water quality in heater-cooler units: from clinical users and perfusion teams to service partners, distributors, and international partners.
A clear platform for a highly practical solution
The new website brings together the most important information about the system in one central place. It explains the fundamental challenges of microbiological process water quality in HCUs, introduces the WCD2 technology, describes the operating principle, and provides access to selected evidence, technical background information, and details about the partner network.
At the center is a simple idea: Less Cleaning. More Perfusion.
WCD2 was developed to integrate process water treatment into existing technical workflows in an automated, efficient, and reliable way. The system uses pro aqua’s patented boron-doped diamond electrode technology to treat HCU process water in short automated routine cycles. For users, this means significant support in process water management - especially by reducing the need for recurring manual chemical disinfection routines.
From a successful DACH rollout to Europe and EMEA
The successful introduction in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland has shown that WCD2 can be integrated seamlessly into clinical and technical workflows - especially when strong local partners support sales, service, implementation, training, and long-term assistance.
That is why the next development phase is not only about expanding reach. It is about building proven service and sales structures with the right partners.
As we expand our activities across Europe and EMEA, we look forward to working with organizations that combine technical credibility, healthcare market access, service competence, and long-term commitment to process quality in the cardiotechnology environment.
Technology development continues
At the same time, we are consistently continuing the development of WCD2 technology.
Together with our partners as well as cardiology and cardiotechnology experts from across the DACH region, we are working, among other things, on adapting WCD2 to additional HCU systems. The goal is to make the benefits of automated process water treatment available to a broader range of clinical and technical environments.
This ongoing development is strongly shaped by practical experience: feedback from users, service teams, distributors, and specialists who work with HCUs every day. Their input helps us further improve usability, compatibility, implementation processes, and long-term support.
A new website - and a new phase
The relaunch of wcd2.at is therefore more than a visual update. It marks the beginning of a new communication and market development phase for WCD2. wcd2.at ist also mehr als ein visuelles Update. Er markiert den Start einer neuen Kommunikations- und Marktentwicklungsphase für den WCD2.
The website supports technical evaluations, answers key initial questions, introduces the partner network, and creates a clear starting point for new conversations. Whether the interest comes from a clinic, a service provider, a distributor, or a potential international partner - wcd2.at is now the central point of contact.
We look forward to the next chapter: new markets, new users, new partners, new feedback, and probably one or two new adventures along the way.
Because in the end, the mission remains practical and clear: making HCU process water treatment simpler, more efficient, and more controlled - for the benefit of everyone involved. Or, in other words: Less Cleaning. More Perfusion. Less Cleaning. More perfusion.
